Isozaki Shin

The internationally renowned Japanese architect Isozaki Shin established the Japanese Isozaki New Studio in Akasaka, Tokyo in 1963, with a studio size of 35 people. Since the 1960s, he has been leading the trend of world architecture, known as Che Guevara in Japanese architecture. Since then, every 10 years, his thinking has undergone a major change. In the 1970s, he entered the stage of "manipulativeism". With his classic works Mito Museum of Art and Tsukuba Center, he maintained a position of "master of postmodernist architecture". The subsequent works are increasingly futuristic. Isozaki Shin is not only an architect, but also a sculptor, artist, and thinker. With its rigorous and pragmatic design style being widely recognized in China and the increasing number of construction projects, the Shanghai Isozaki New Studio was established in 2005 with a current size of about 20 people.
