The Starwood Group is one of the world's largest restaurants and entertainment and leisure groups. In 1998, Starwood acquired Westin Hotels&Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and several of its subsidiaries, including Westin and Westin Associates, and acquired the International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation. Named Sheraton Holding Corporation; in October 1999, the acquisition of Vistana Co., Ltd. (renamed Starwood Vacations Co., Ltd.), which makes Starwood Group a leader in many restaurants and entertainment groups status. The Starwood Group operates hotels and entertainment businesses directly or indirectly through the management of its subsidiaries.
