It ranks first among the top ten survey and design firms in Zhejiang Province, 12th on the 2003 National Ranking of State-Owned Design Firms in the Civil Building Design Market, 6th on the 2004 National Ranking of State-Owned Design Firms in the Civil Building Design Market, and 5th on the 2005 National Ranking of State-Owned Design Firms in the Civil Building Design Market. It was also among the first batch of “Contract-Respecting and Creditworthy Enterprises” nationwide, designated by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (only five survey and design firms across the country received this honor), and holds a AAA credit rating from the Zhejiang Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce. The institute obtained ISO 9001 quality system certification in 1997. It is a national Class A–qualified design institute capable of undertaking architectural engineering design, municipal public works design—including water supply, drainage, and landscape design—as well as intelligent building design, engineering consulting, specialized design for excavation support and glass curtain walls, and general contracting services. It also possesses qualifications for urban planning design, civil defense engineering design, and construction cost estimation, and has been granted independent foreign trade operating rights by the state.
