Starting April 3, 2015, the Xixi Paradise • Xixi Wetland Visitor Center was completed and officially opened to the public. Visitors can now purchase wetland boat tickets directly at the service center and enjoy direct access to the scenic area. This marks the launch of a dedicated shuttle route connecting Xixi Paradise with Xixi Wetland. Previously, both local residents and tourists had to drive into Xixi Wetland via the Zhoujia Village entrance, which often led to severe traffic congestion during peak travel seasons—especially on holidays—causing not only road jams but also frustrating delays for travelers. Now, visitors can conveniently stop by Xixi Paradise to dine, relax, and enjoy entertainment while exploring the wetlands. From affordable Grandma’s Home restaurants to trendy coffee shops, from budget-friendly hotels to luxurious five‑star resorts, along with movie theaters, dessert boutiques, and bars… the diverse range of offerings and immersive experiences cater to both leisure travelers and young backpackers seeking varied travel adventures. From its initial design and construction in 2014 to its recent inauguration, the Xixi Paradise • Xixi Wetland Visitor Center took just 10 months to complete. As a permanent hub for Hangzhou’s tourism distribution network, it features a large eco‑landscape parking lot, ensuring that whether you’re driving yourself or traveling with a tour group, you won’t have to worry about parking or traffic jams. The opening of the Xixi Paradise Wetland Visitor Center will effectively alleviate traffic and parking pressures during peak tourist seasons.
