The Oriental White Stork, known as the “national treasure of the bird world,” Its neck is slender, its wings are pure white, and its posture is graceful. However, There are fewer than 3,000 of this beautiful creature left in the world.
Fortunately, we spotted it in Xixi Wetland for the first time.

300 meters from Xixi Paradise Lotus Beach Birdwatching Area, Shallow water, shallow beaches, trees, reeds… It constitutes the ideal habitat for birds.

Xixi Paradise

Starting from Xixi Paradise, a 5-minute walk will take you to the entrance of the Wetland Lotus Beach, where you can enter this hidden wetland paradise for free.

From the entrance of Lianhua Beach in Xixi Paradise, you can walk to… Lotus Beach Birdwatching Area, Gaozhuang, Fudi, Hezhu Street, Jiangcun Slow Living District.
The red cedar trees display warm, soft autumn hues. Sunlight filters through the tree leaves, falling upon an unknown wildflower. Scattered tourists along the way couldn’t help but stop and admire.

Before we met the birds, we first stumbled upon a cute squirrel gracefully leaping through the trees.
It’s the season when the reeds are in full bloom. Along the water’s edge, reeds like white dust brushes sway in the wind.

The staff said that birdwatching depends on luck. Obviously, we don’t have that kind of luck.

In the birdwatching tower, the three photographers sat like three statues—seemingly… Birdwatching depends not only on luck, but also on perseverance.

Gao Zhuang

Pavilions, terraces, towers, and elegant structures; small bridges over flowing streams; withered maple leaves and dormant lotus flowers—such is the charm of Jiangnan. The courtyards of wealthy families are no less impressive than Suzhou gardens.


8:00 AM–11:00 AM, Gaozhuang is open to the public free of charge. You can choose this time to come here for a stroll—nothing could be more perfect than putting on Hanfu and taking photos.
There’s a special performance here this afternoon. The actors, dressed in Hanfu, dance in front of authentic ancient architecture, creating a strong sense of time travel.
Ahead lie Hezhu Street, Green Embankment, and Jiangcun Slow Living District. There are many Xixi–themed snacks and folk cultural attractions, and you can also take a hot air balloon ride to enjoy the stunning views from above.
