The current Quick Report exhibition of works by teachers and students from the Gongbi Flower and Bird Class of the Calligraphy and Painting Club is being held at the Zhuangxiang Library. This popular library is located within the Xixuan Hotel, part of the Xixi Paradise International Tourism Complex.
“Summer Fragrance” Fine Brushwork Floral and Bird Art Exhibition
The “Summer Fragrance” Fine Brushwork Floral and Bird Painting Exhibition is the first student exhibition held by the Kuai Bao Calligraphy and Painting Club since its establishment in 2016. Featuring 51 works by Teacher Lin Xiaosheng and six students, this exhibition departs from the traditional aesthetic of Chinese painting by embracing contemporary color elements and employing expressive techniques such as splashed ink and splashed color to convey the natural beauty of imagery. It presents a new dimension of interest in fine brushwork painting and invites everyone to explore the beauty of art together.
The exhibition will be held from June 8 to June 30 at the Xixi Paradise Xixuan Hotel. Positioned as an art boutique hotel, the Hangzhou Xixuan Hotel is located within the Xixi Paradise International Tourism Complex, adjacent to the Xixi Wetland National Park. Surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle sound of flowing water, the hotel seamlessly blends rich artistic elements to create a one-of-a-kind space. The hotel’s Calligraphy & Incense Library features a three‑story high ceiling, with over 6,000 carefully curated books displayed along rustic wooden steps, inviting guests to find tranquility, engage in meditation, and unleash their creativity. The hotel collaborates long-term with art organizations, hosting art exhibitions, painting sessions, calligraphy workshops, lectures, and other artistic creation and sharing activities—bringing art into the hotel and forging a seamless connection between art and the travel experience.
As the first stop of Kuai Bao’s art practice program, this event includes the Calligraphy and Painting Club’s blessings to its students, wishing that on their artistic journey, they will bloom as fragrant and delightful as summer flowers. The meticulous-style flower-and-bird painting class, taught by Teacher Lin Xiaosheng, will share our teaching achievements with everyone at this exhibition.
