2021 With the Qingming mini-holiday just around the corner—and coinciding with Hangzhou’s Xixi Flower Festival—visitors can not only enjoy flower viewing and spring outings in Xixi, but also partake in a variety of immersive activities that add charm to their floral journey. This year marks the first Flower Festival since Green Embankment was opened to the public free of charge; without needing a ticket, you can directly admire breathtaking floral scenery that changes with every step, including “The Language of Crabapple,” “Crimson Blossoms Filling the Garden,” “Purple Dream Wisteria,” and “Floral Footprints and Peony Shadows.”

As one of the wetland entrances closest to the main exhibition area, Xixi Paradise boasts nearly a thousand public parking spaces, effectively addressing parking challenges during short holidays in the scenic area. Visitors can park their cars within the park and take a battery-powered shuttle to Hezhu Street, enter Lüdi via the West Entrance of Fudi, or walk from the North Entrance of Xixi Paradise along the Xixi Sculpture Garden to the East Entrance of Lüdi. Xixi Paradise has also proactively launched a range of accommodation, dining, and entertainment offerings tailored to the large number of visitors traveling during the Qingming Festival holiday as well as local vacationers, creating a vibrant spring atmosphere.

During the early spring promotion, Xixi Rongshengzhuang and Xixi Yuezhen launched room packages. During the Qingming holiday, Xixi Sheraton, Xixuan Hotel, and Brook Hotel bundled wetland tickets or spring afternoon tea into their room packages for sale. “How many layers of flower-lined paths, where fertile soil yields bountiful harvests. Afternoon tea, spring dishes, picnic baskets, buffets… hotels are constantly innovating their culinary offerings to create trendy, must-try spring delicacies. With the warm spring sunshine and the delicate aroma of spring tea, the Sheraton Xixi’s “Warm Spring Tea & Afternoon Tea” not only boasts stunning visuals but also skillfully blends the fragrances of various flowers into its desserts. Cherry blossoms, osmanthus, and jasmine, paired with Longjing, matcha, and Earl Grey tea, leave a lingering, delightful flavor on your palate.

Xixuan Hotel continues to delve deep into the culture of Xixi Red Mansion, launching the Zengfu Red Mansion Lunchbox Afternoon Tea Set. The rustic, three-tiered lacquered red lunchbox beautifully and exquisitely showcases traditional Chinese luxury. The first tier offers a diverse array of savory and sweet delicacies with rich, varied textures; the second tier features jujube paste yam cakes inspired by “Dream of the Red Chamber”; and the third tier presents Hangzhou’s renowned specialties—lotus-flower pastries and Dingsheng cakes—which have even appeared on “A Bite of China.”

The Spring Menu offered at Xixi Yorongzhuang Baiyun Restaurant, Xixi Sheraton Caiyue Xuan Chinese Restaurant, and Xixuan Hotel Xiyue Restaurant is the perfect choice for family and friend gatherings during the Qingming Holiday. From Friday to Sunday and throughout the short Qingming holiday, the Xixi Sheraton buffet dinner has been upgraded to include all-you-can-eat lobster in five flavors: spicy, garlic-infused, thirteen-spice, chilled with yellow wine, and vine pepper–sour soup—half a month earlier than last year’s lobster buffet.

During the Qingming mini-holiday, the park also offers a wide range of entertainment experiences. Xixi Paradise Qiyue City B1 The Grand Theater’s two immersive plays, “Polar Night” and “Ravaging the Prairie,” will be staged during the holiday. Audiences will travel back to the Republic of China era and can interact with the lead actors throughout the performance, offering them advice and collaborating on grand strategies.

The Sheraton Xixi’s “Xixi Night Banquet” continues last year’s phenomenal success, seamlessly blending hotel dining with immersive theater. The dining experience is woven into the storyline—allowing guests not only to enjoy close-up performances by the actors but also to savor upgraded, refined cuisine, offering a deeper layer of culinary delight.

During the Qingming Festival, Xixi Paradise, in collaboration with Maifang Sports and with support from Taoyuanli, organized a special parent–child event centered on birds and opened registration to the public.

In recent years, Hanfu has become immensely popular among young people.
