On the evening of August 12, Liang Jianzhang, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trip.com Group, appeared at the Xixi Paradise International Tourism Complex in Hangzhou, hosting the 22nd Trip.com “Boss Live” session at Xixi Banyan Resort. The theme of this livestream was “New Hits Arrive—Zhejiang’s Unique Beauty,” with a primary focus on recommending high‑quality hotels and tourist destinations within Zhejiang Province, helping to boost the summer travel season.
As of mid-July, the Ctrip livestreaming ecosystem—centered on Liang Jianzhang’s personal brand and “Boss Live”—had generated cumulative transaction volume exceeding 1.1 billion RMB, with a product redemption rate approaching 50%. It has helped over 1,000 high‑star hotels across the Asia-Pacific region sell more than one million room nights, sparking a tourism revival wave in over 200 cities both domestically and internationally. This has successfully achieved the integration of brand awareness and sales effectiveness through the “livestreaming + pre-sale” model.
As a pivotal figure in the tourism industry’s recovery, Liang Jianzhang’s brand value has been fully showcased. From Confucius to King Neptune, from Tang Bohu to Qin Shi Huang, Liang Jianzhang’s appearance in each boss livestream is uniquely different. During his livestream at Xixi Paradise in Hangzhou, he even cosplayed Jia Baoyu, while female host Tian Xu donned the guise of Daiyu—both performances were brimming with clever gimmicks and creative flair.
The choice of Xixi Paradise as the location for this livestream marks a brand-new attempt by Trip.com’s Boss Livestream to offer comprehensive recommendations under the “Hotel Cluster” initiative. “Staying in a hotel cluster has one major advantage: no matter which hotel you choose, you can easily visit the other hotels within the resort and check in at all the fun attractions and unique experiences—something that simply can’t be compared to staying at a standalone hotel,” Liang Jianzhang said at the beginning of this livestream.
Xixi Paradise is located near Xixi Wetland and features several high‑star hotels, including Xixi Banyan Resort, Xixi Sheraton, Yuezhen Hotel, and Licheng Xixuan Hotel. The China Wetland Museum, Hangzhou Tourism Distribution Center, Xixi Outlet, and Xixi Paradise Art Center are all situated within Xixi Paradise, offering hotel guests a rich array of leisure and vacation experiences.
On the morning of the live broadcast, BOSS host Liang Jianzhang also took time to tour the Xixi Paradise Resort and inspect its various hotels. He was thoroughly impressed by the “internet-famous library” hidden within the Xixi Paradise Xixuan Hotel, and he gave high praise to the Chinese-style garden landscapes of Xixi Rongsheng Zhuang as well as the hotel’s preservation of its natural wetland scenery.
This livestream attracted over 4.6 million views and generated a total GMV of 74.63 million yuan; among them, hotels in Zhejiang Province sold 29,284 rooms, with a GMV exceeding 30 million yuan.
The industry’s recovery has become a hot topic in today’s economy, and Trip.com Group, the nation’s largest online travel platform, has launched “Boss Live,” which has emerged as a key representative event for the revival of the tourism industry across the country. When asked how long “Boss Live” would continue, Liang Jianzhang said, “As long as the pandemic hasn’t completely ended, live streaming should keep going.”
